Lollapalooza 2019

Lollapalooza is back for it’s 28th consecutive year! And the 2019 festival is contending to be the best one yet. It is a 4-day event taking place in Grant Park, Chicago, and is set to last from August 1-4th. The festival will consists of 180 artists on 8 stages, culminating in 40 hours of music in a period of 4 days. The festival brings some well-known names, as well as some fresh up and comers in the music industry. The music, combined with some great food and activity options, make this the essential summer getaway. To help make it even more perfect, we’ve included the highlights of some of best features of Lollapalooza 2019.

The food at Lollapalooza has always been a highlight of the festival. This year, Chow Town will offer some of the best food, drinks, and sweets from Chicago’s top restaurants.

The best options include Ooey Marshmallow Goodness from XO Marshmallow, the Deep Dish Pizza from Lou Malnati, and the The Budlong Hot Chicken Sandwich.

In terms of foreign cuisine, you could choose from Kamehachi, Naf Naf Middle Eastern Grill, and Tallboy Taco. Gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian options are also available.

For snacking on the go, the festival will open a Lolla Bodega store with all your favorite munchies.

There will be a variety of activities to participate in this August as well. For starters, tents will open featuring exclusive merchandise from performing artists. This also gives guests an opportunity for pictures and signatures from their favorite musicians.
Though the activities are still unknown, we could base our predictions on events from past festivals. Toyota had given guests free hair-cuts with cold treats. American Eagle set up a two-story structure, complete with WiFi, phone chargers, merch. Tito’s vodka hosted a game of Plinko, with swag as prizes. Bai offered photo opportunities and popsicles inside their cooled tents. Even the NBA set up shop, selling basketball gear and Chicago Bull’s jerseys.
This year I feel will be no different. Be on the look-out for art and murals for a quick photo-op. Hammocks, a piano bar, ping pong tables, and bean-bag tosses are all possibilities as well.

Line Up

Of course, the music is the main reason for the festival in the first place. Some of the most notable names include Ariana Grande, Twenty One Pilots, The Chainsmokers, Lil Wayne, The Strokes, Death Cab for Cutie, Lil Baby, and Gunna.
